The Welding Process

  1. Starrett engineers reviewing a bandsaw blade specification at the Nottingham Weld Centre

    01

    Tell us the spec

Send us the machine make and model, blade length, width and pitch/TPI. A material or product reference code is also useful where available. Email bandsaws@starrett.co.uk if you need help confirming the specification.

  2. Bandsaw blade being welded to length, sparks flying, at the Nottingham Weld Centre

    02

    We weld to length

Blade is butt welded into an endless loop and linished before testing. Each weld is bend and torsion tested, with blade thickness checked after finishing. Weld tags provide documented traceability through the production process.

  3. Welded Starrett bandsaw blades being packed for dispatch at the Nottingham Weld Centre
